I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Janie Emerson for her years of service and stewardship for the LJSA.  I am honored to serve as the President this year and humbled by the commitment and dedication from our Board of Directors.  The LJSA has an amazing executive team who are all committed to our mission. I would also like to thank our community partners, volunteers and all who support LJSA and our mission to improve our community.

La Jolla Shores Boundary Map

Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Association shall be to provide a community forum for matters affecting the La Jolla Shores Planned District, and to advise the San Diego City Council, Park and Recreation Department, and other governmental agencies to serve the interest of individual property owners and residents through unified action in cooperation with their neighbors in the residential and business areas of La Jolla Shores.

Goals:

The LJSA Board adopted the following goals for 2024, with the top priority being robust enforcement of municipal codes and regulations within the La Jolla Shores boundaries, particularly at La Jolla Shores parks and beaches.

Education and Maintenance

  • Improved signage for all ordinances
  • Clean restrooms
  • Lights and camera on the south Comfort Station facing The Map

Enforcement and Monitoring

  • Vending ordinance
  • Beach fires ordinance
  • Streetlight replacement project
  • Undergrounding project
  • Road repairs – pot holes, stop signs and striping

Environmental Enhancement

  • Broaden tree canopy throughout the area
  • Increase landscaping in the Shores parks
  • Expand beautification and maintenance of “The Throat”
